Medication-assisted treatment at Dogon Mental Health
As part of our comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plan, Dogon Mental Health’s MAT program includes the use of FDA-approved medications with behavioral therapy and counseling. By combining medication and therapy, Dogon Mental Health treats both the physical and mental symptoms of addiction at the same time.
Under the supervision of our physicians, our medical team will prescribe medications that safely block the effects of drugs and alcohol on the brain and body. This helps to eliminate or reduce your substance cravings and ease physical withdrawal symptoms. All of these medications share the same goal: to help you manage your addiction, adjust to treatment, and feel stable. Our physicians will work with you to review the benefits and risks of each option so we can find the right medication for your specific needs.
We recognize that Substance Abuse and Mental Health issues often occur together in the same individual. We strongly encourage participants in our Medication-Assisted Treatment to obtain help with their co-occurring Mental health issues from our available providers or elsewhere in the community.
